Crossover (Aus +)

Crossover is an international programme designed to explore the creative and the commercial challenges of developing content and services for digital media. The lab process brings together creative professionals from diverse disciplines – including film and TV production, animation, games, theatre, web design and new media – to share understanding of a rapidly changing mediascape, to form new interdisciplinary collaborations and generate ideas for projects.

The Hive (Aus)

Held within the 2011 BigPond Adelaide Film Festival, this ground-breaking 5 day residential lab brings together 20 talented artists from film, literature, performing and visual arts. Led by BAVC’s Wendy Levy with a team of brilliant mentors from a number of disciplines, THE HIVE introduces filmmakers to creative development methodologies and potential collaborators from other art forms and inspires artists to consider film as a creative outlet.

Melting Silos (Canada)

The goal of the Melting Silos Program is to connect local filmmakers and digital media talent in a way that educates both parties and facilitates the development of project materials to be ready for further development.

The Pixel Lab (UK – Europe)

The lab is aimed at European media professionals with a strong track record in their sector, and has a particular focus on the creation, finance and distribution of cross-media properties to create sustainable European media businesses.

StoryLabs (Aus +)

StoryLabs were formed in Australia, Canada the US and UK aim is to pioneer digital content creation, strategy and innovation through strong, multi media story engagement.

Transmedia Lab (France)

Transmedia lab is organising a call for submissions of transmedia projects to allow creative professionals to get together, to select up to 5 projects in order to finalize them.

XMediaLab (Aus +)

XMediaLab is the internationally acclaimed creative industries event. XML creates a meeting place uniquely designed to assist companies and people get their own creative ideas successfully to market, through concept development, business matching, and direct access to world-class networks of creative professionals.
